As you all know by now I plan to marry Tammy in Texas in the summer (July 8th) and I appreciate that asking relatives to go to Texas for the wedding is out of order! I wouldn’t expect that of anyone. We have already said that when Tammy and her family come to England that we’ll have a wedding reception for all of my family and friends to meet them and celebrate our union.
We have alot of excitement in making this move, however both Tammy and I now have to make this a reality and share the burden of trying to pull together enough money for the move.
So we now ask that instead of the usual wedding gifts that a couple normally would register for, i.e. toaster, kettle and towels etc.. that you could help out by donating what you would have spent on those items into our ‘Big Move’ fund that we have set up online – Please click on the picture below to go to our fund site.
The Big Move expenses are:
- Visas per person: $1267 / £825 (x6)
- Visa agency fee: $1440 / £900
- One way flight ticket: $1120 / £700 each (x6)
- Passports $110 / £70 each
As you can see we have a mammoth task ahead and we have a plan to complete the move in stages in order to spread the costs, but even so, we will still need a vast amount of money to make it happen.
