Tammy’s Story

The little girl

This is me at age 6. A little girl who believed in fairy-tales and happily ever afters. I wished upon stars and made up songs I sung to myself all the time. I was dorky and silly and freckle-faced and had very little friends. I always hoped one day I would grow up and meet a real “Prince Charming”.

My parents divorced when I was 5 and I was always close with my baby sister Jenny.

And many years later you have this!

Age 36 This is me, age 36.  I have been divorced three times. I will not go into that here. Those are stories for another day.  I am a full-time student at Dallas Baptist University. I also have full-time care of my grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and is an invalid. I live with my mother to help take care of her and go to school. I am a sometimes stressed, constantly busy, but loving mother to 5 children. My oldest is 18 this year, Alexandra, and I now know what it is like to raise a child to “adulthood”…lol.

I have a crazy bird of a daughter named Ivory Laurana…. I named her for her fair skin and after an elven princess in a Dragon Lance novel I was reading at the time I was pregnant with her . She is 13.

typical Facebook pose…lol

Then there is my raggamuffin son, Bryant, who is 11 and is the computer geek of the family and terrific at computer grahics!

here he is with his sis:

My next to youngest daughter is Madison and it is a running joke with all of us that her real name is “Badison”…for she has a hard head  and though very bright has slight autistic behavior about alot of things, but we all love her.

My youngest, Zoey, is the one they are all jealous of,..lol,…as siblings usually are and she is a cutie pie, but also can be a PICKLE!

Being a mother and having all these kids, made me think that after my last divorce it was time for me to go get a teaching degree. So, I decided to throw it all in to go back to school and get a Masters degree to teach.

I originally went for a degree in Art…to teach Art in schools to kids….My degree plan has landed on Psychology with a Minor in Art. I am so busy with school I barely have time for Art anymore, but I still write quite a bit and will share some of the stories I have written for Adam on our “Poetry” page.

I also love to sing and I sometimes played around with posting my singing on Facebook for the heck of it and Adam said my singning gave him chills….LOL…not sure if that was a good thing or not…hahahaha….

Watch video here!

This new path I chose led me to stop wandering on the cold dark bridges of loneliness and find that real prince. And these are my bits of diary I will share with you that will tell the true story of Love, Hope, and Skype.

I hope you enjoy it!
